Dmitri Melkin is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He was the husband of Shannon Melkin, the father of Leandra Rutherford (née Melkin), the grandfather of Marissa Cleveland (née Rutherford) and Geoff Rutherford, and the great-grandfather of Justin Cleveland. Dmitri is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. He has the Fortune aspiration, and the Libra zodiac sign. As far as personality, Dmitri is very outgoing, quite nice, and somewhat playful. But he is very sloppy and lazy.
According to Dmitri's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was brown before it turned grey. According to his age data, he had 18 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Dmitri's facial structure is almost, if not identical to the 14th Maxis face template in Create a Sim. Unlike several other married ancestors from Apartment Life who have memories of their spouses, he only has Mystery Sim memories. However Dmitri still has memories of his granddaughter Marissa getting engaged and married.
Dmitri is the Russian form of Demetrius, derived from Demeter, the name of the ancient Greek goddess of agriculture.

This Sim can be brought back to life using the Resurrect-O-Nomitron, the genie lamp or an evil witch's spell.
