Deena Ross was born in 1989 to Ernenstine and Fred Earle. The Earle's weren't a wealthy family. While growing up, Deena enjoyed singing and dancing around her living room. Deena eventually grew up, leaving behind her dream of becoming a famous singer and dancer, and met Jonny Ross. The two felt an instant connection and got married.
In 2010, Deena got married to Jonny and became Deena Ross. Deena became pregnant in 2013. In her ninth month, Deena lost her child (which she had planned on naming Gabriel Jacques Ross). Deena was distraught. And to add an extra pile of bricks to be cut loose on her life, Jonny received test results of having a terminal illness, and having months to live. In 2014, Jonny died.
With no life ahead of her. Deena looked through photo albums. She found a very old photograph of her dancing in her living room. Deena grabbed a recording device and sang a short song into it and handed it to her friend, and asked them to give their honest feedback. The friend smiled and told Deena she had an amazing voice that could have the potential to be heard across seas. Deena knew she couldn't do it alone and put out posters to create a group. Many auditions were heard, but only one got through. Simone Neena. They decided on the name "The Soulettes."
Deena and Simone began recording songs and gained a record deal from a hotshot. Soon, "The Soulettes" became a household name, and began recording songs.
