Denise Wilkins was born in 1970 to Sean and Billie-Jean Wilkins. The Wilkins' were a very country-style family, they grew up in the countryside for decades, and rarely left. At school, Denise wasn't the most popular girl because of her background. She was always seen as "dirty" and beneath everyone because a rumour was started that she didn't clean as her house was so far away from civilisation. This upset Denise massively, and she complained to her parents about this, however, Billie-Jean and Sean shrugged this off and told her that everyone receives some sort of bullying while growing up.
Denise left her secondary school without her primary needed grades. Throughout the entirety of her school career, that rumour kept going on and going on, distracting Denise to the point where she no longer wanted to go into school, she lied to her parents about being ill and missed around 40% of her education. In 2013 Sean came down with a terminal illness, but shortly died after, and left Denise with a large amount of money. Unsure what to do, Denise filled in her stereotype and built a farm.
Denise Wilkins requested from Stanley's construction company a farm to be built. Denise Wilkins requested Stanley specifically to build it for her. After some intense flirting the two got together and began a relationship.
