Garth was born to a cop (hence the Can Apprehend Burglar trait) who had a one-night-stand with a female vampire. He received terrible treatment as a child, and was ridiculed for being a vampire. As a toddler, his parents got married, and then divorced. His father and mother had joint custody, and Garth never learned any toddler skills.
He became best friends with Flat Broke and Henry McGlum in grade school. When growing up into a teenager, he became enemies with his mother and he drifted away from his friends. He looked up to his father, and decided at that point that he wanted to be the leader of the free world.
When he aged up into a young adult, Garth fell hard for Pierce's mother. They rushed into their marriage, which would have lasted if not for her death. Ten months later, Pierce arrived in a blue blanket.
Pierce was a human, like his mother. This kind of upset Garth: he wanted his son to be a vampire, so they could at least have shared something in common. Due to this, along with his work, he neglected Pierce, and left him alone to be cared for by his wife, a stay at home housewife.
One night, in a desperate plea from his wife, he turned her into a vampire, as she wished that they could truly be together forever. Unaware that Pierce was present, he emotionally scarred his son for life, which lead to the decay of their relationship, especially after Garth's first wife died.
Pierce eventually moved away from his father. Garth stayed in Riverview for another year, where he aged up into an adult, and when in desolation and all alone, he moved to Sunset Valley. Willing to fulfill his lifetime wish, Garth joined the Political career. When coming out from work, he ran into the miserable Morgana Wolff, after she divorced her husband, Thornton when he cheated on her with Vita Alto. Garth consoled her, and though Morgana fell for him the feelings were not mutual until much later. They married, and after six months they decided to have kids. This resulted in the births of Dunstan and Leila.
When Pierce learned from a Bridgeport acquaintance, Erika Talon, that Pierce was staying in Bridgeport with his fiancee, he sent a message to Pierce, and sent Leila and Dunstan on a "vacation" to their brother. Garth wants to move to Bridgeport and reconnect with his son.
