Leila VanPyre
Biography
'Leila wishes that her father and her half-brother would get along. The only thing she wants more is love: someone that loves her as much as Pierce does Brigit, someone to wrap up in her arms... She is glad that her brother has decided to work at a better life and can't wait to see the finished product!'
Leila VanPyre is a female, Young Adult vampire who recently moved to Bridgeport with her mom, Morgana and her dad, Garth. She also has a brother who lives with her, Dunstan, who is three days older than her. She is best friends with Morgana, distant friends with her father, and she and her brother are enemies. She is slightly better off with her brother after he decided to change his life around for the better, but doesn't yet know that he will be leaving to join the military.
Morgana taught Leila all of her toddler skills (potty, talk, walk). Leila had a fairly happy childhood, as opposed to her brother, who was always troubled and never did well.
Leila was a B+ student in school. She befriended many, like Mortimer Goth, Bella Bachelor, Kaylynn Langerak, etc. She was very social, but was also secretly shy and liked her alone time.
The day after her birthday, her father finally admitted to the children that they had a brother, whom had been born illegitimately with his girlfriend and later wife. After she died, he came to Sunset Valley, where he met the newly divorced Morgana Wolff. Since then, he had no idea of his son's whereabouts until now, when his friend Erika Talon told him Pierce was in Bridgeport. He sent the two to live with Pierce, and his fiancée, Brigit Hemlock, for a month. Leila was excited meeting Pierce, and they were instant friends. The only thing was that they ended up staying for more than a month.
Leila also joined the Good Ones, a secret organization of vampires working to promote good throughout Bridgeport. She shows to have very good aim with throwing weapons.
Leila is overjoyed when she meets her niece for the first time, and is scared for Pierce when he has his heart attack. But she knows that he is rewarded when he holds Tessa in his arms. She is overjoyed when her parents tell her that they are moving to Bridgeport.
Leila ages up well, and surprisingly so does Dunstan. She warms up to Dunstan as he promises to change his life and purposefully chooses the Unflirty trait to prevent him from hitting on every single girl, like he did in Sunset Valley. She doesn't yet know that he has enlisted in the military and will be leaving for Twinbrook in less than a month.
In the meantime, Leila looks for the one thing she wants and doesn't yet have: someone to love.
Leila: Can be used as either a Hebrew name, meaning "night" or "dark Oriental beauty", or as a Persian name, meaning "dark-haired." Almost all three fit her.
Unlike Pierce, Leila is light skinned. She and Dunstan inherited their genes from Garth and Morgana, while Pierce inherited everything from his mother, except for his blue eyes.
Leila was either supposed to be a nice klutz or a neurotic hooker. Guess which one I chose.
