Brigit VanPyre (née Hemlock) is a Young Adult (nearing Adult) female Vampire living in Bridgeport. She is the wife of Pierce VanPyre, as well as the mother of their child Contessa. She is the sister of Wogan, the sister-in-law of Morrigan, aunt of Belisama and Theo (who was born at the same time as Contessa though Wogan never alerted Brigit of Morrigan's pregnancy). As Pierce's wife, she is the daughter-in-law of Garth VanPyre, and as Garth is their father she is also technically the sister-in-law to Dunstan and Leila.
