Biography

Moss's somewhat 'nervous' exterior belies his intelligence. He tries hard to be a good father to Larch, but his lack of social skills makes him an uncomfortable parent and an easy target for his son.

Moss Rose is a Sim from Vpetmad's fanon story, A Garden of Roses. He is the family's head gardener and also enjoys inventing various contraptions, whenever he can get Holly to help him.
Simology
Edit
Early Life
Edit
Moss was spawned by Willow a little while after the birth of his cousin, Reed. It became apparent within a few days of his birth that he had some difficulties, particularly with communication, which were attributed to his being spawned out of season. He was a fortunate child in that his mother was also his Nurturer, so was able to keep him safe throughout his youth. She noticed that although he was perpetually frightened around his fellow PlantSims, when talking to plants his speech and confidence improved greatly, so she guided him towards gardening when he matured.
At some point in his early adulthood, Moss spawned a son, Larch Rose. Most details of this event have been withheld by the elders, however it is gathered that Moss and his relatives were somewhat unprepared.
In the Fanon
Edit
At the Spring Council, Moss is shown to be a cheerful and enthusiastic member of the family and concerned about (if a little afraid of) his son, who he restrains from a fight with Reed. On advice from Willow, he attempts to reprimand Larch for his low standard of work, but is quickly reduced to tears when Larch calls him 'twitchy', Moss's condition being a very delicate subject. Although deeply hurt by this, Moss isn't one to bear grudges and is soon back on good terms with Larch.
Trundling along in his own little world of plants, stars and clockwork toys, Moss remains blissfully unaware of any unusual activity in the forest until he is approached by Willow to take part in her plan to safeguard the forest. Always eager to please, he accepts and begins work, leading to an unfortunate incident involving the grill. As his invention takes shape, Moss has increasing misgivings about what the plan will mean for the idyllic forest and for his beloved mother. Throughout the installation process he is haunted by a series of dancing lights in the sky, which seem to draw ever closer.
- Moss' large glasses and enthusiasm for inventing are a nod to the character of the same name in the TV show The I.T. Crowd.
