Ophelia Nigmos is a recurring character in the StrangeTown Monty (STM) Machinima Series.

Ophelia comes across as a nice, sensible and well-behaved young lady -- a reputation seemingly opposite of that of her aunt, Olive Specter. Death seems to follow Specter around. So why hasn't he come for Ophelia? Is Specter simply nice to Ophelia, or is there something else about Ophelia...?

Under her guardians (first her aunt, followed by her first cousin Nick Grimm - formerly known as "Nervous Subject"), Ophelia was allowed to visit her friends, but was never permitted to invite anyone over. Her friends' parents have a similar attitude: They have no problems welcoming Ophelia as a visitor, but strictly forbade their children from visiting Ophelia's house.

Perhaps Specter didn't want her secrets to be uncovered by the Smith & Grunt kids, or she simply didn't want these young innocents to "accidentally" get hurt. But for Nick, 13 Dead End Lane is simply his bachelor pad, albeit furnished according to his mother's tastes -- his only connection to the mother he never really knew. He didn't want a bunch of kids coming to thrash up his mother's sanctuary. Whatever the reason, if Ophelia wanted a social life among her peers, she couldn't possibly pursue that at home.

Ophelia seems to have positive memories of her aunt, despite the latter's strange habits and all the controversial rumors. But how exactly will she get along with Cousin Nick? Nick is a young man, no more than 10 years her senior, placed in the same house, and in the same position of authority formerly occupied by her elderly aunt.

Ophelia can also see that Nick seems to be set for life as the legal owner of 13 Dead End Lane -- the very picture of financial security... his earlier misfortunes may no longer matter so much. However, she may not notice that Nick is nonetheless a chip off the old block, exhibiting sneaky mannerisms like his mother.

The teenage boys of Strangetown may be eyeing Ophelia, but for now, she goes home to her Cousin Nick...
