Horses are pets which are featured in The Sims 3: Pets. While custom content creators have made horses for The Sims and The Sims 2, this is the first time they have been included in an expansion pack.

The Sims 3: Pets

Horses have traits just like cats and dogs do. Sims can ride horses to their destination, and horses are able to push or kick Sims out of their grip.^{[confirmation needed]} Also, horses can befriend other animals such as cats and dogs. Horses will be able to be entered in competitions. There are various breeds of horses as well.^[1] A herd of wild horses can sometimes be seen running through the town of Appaloosa Plains.

Horses will have 6 needs which are:

Hunger
Training (Exercise)
Thirst
Social
Energy
Bladder ^[2]

Trivia

The new town that was shipped with Pets, Appaloosa Plains, is named after a horse breed.
The horse is the biggest animal, for now, featured in The Sims Series.
