Biography A many times great-grandson of Samuel Gilman, Johnstone is a savvy businessman. He made his first fortune via a textile venture. That business eventually sold to out of town interests. Afterwards, he and Xavier Angel went into the publishing business, which is still going strong today. He recently passed day to day control of the company to his son, Vincent, and has taken up an interest in local politics.
