Laurant Durand (pronounced lo·rahn doo·rahn in French) is a Sim and 21 days from becoming an adult when the player first visits Champs Les Sims. He lives with his wife Adele on a very large lot at 25 Cedar Point in Champs Les Sims. There is a tomb on the Durands' lot. Like other Sims from France, Laurant has the hidden French Culture trait. Adele and Laurant are both young adults and there is a crib in their large house, suggesting they want to start a family. He starts out with a variety of skill points: 4 points in Cooking, 3 points in Fishing, and 8 points in Nectar Making.
