Mata is a pre-made jaguar from Felicity Island, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims Castaway Stories. The protagonist will encounter her at The Crossroads during the Shipwrecked and Single story and needs to tame her with a nepeta leaf. Shaman Amanaki mentions that her name means "The Eye" in the natives' language, alluding to her ever-watchful role as the guardian of the path to The Forbidden Village.
Mata has the hidden Power aspiration and the Cancer zodiac sign. Her personality consists of a middle alignment between all traits and her interests will be randomized when she first appears in-game.

Trivia Edit
- "Mata" means "eye" in Indonesian and Filipino.
- Strangely Mata is treated as a human, rather than a cat (as seen in SimPE). This fixes itself when Mata is first spawned at The Crossroads.
- Even though Mata is refered to as female in the story, she is accually treated as a male in-game, which is most likely a mistake. In SimPE a hidden female Mata can be found.
