Melody Tinker is one of the pre-created Sims that was shipped with Open for Business. It's hinted that she was to take over the family toyshop, but apparently she has other plans. Some have suggested she will be an artist. While that is up to the player, she does a fair amount of creativity skill while having no other skills.
She is a public school student, and has a C average. When the player first loads the family, she is fourteen days away from becoming an adult.
Like her parents, she is very neat, and not too outgoing. Unlike them, she is not very playful, which may be one reason she doesn't want to run a toy shop. Another possible reason is hinted at in the family album, which shows a toddler, presumably young Melody, being frightened by an evil Clown-in-the-Box.
She wants to get into private school, and get a job either in the Science career or the Medical career. If Seasons is installed, she may want to get a job in the Adventurer career. She also wants to get her first kiss.
If University is installed, and you send her to college, she can become a proper artist, if she studies a major associated with the artist career.
