Microphones are objects in The Sims: Superstar, The Sims 2: Apartment Life, and The Sims 4. Although they appear in The Sims 3: Showtime when a singer performs on stage, they are not actual buyable objects.

The Small Superstar Microphone is an object added in The Sims 2: Apartment Life. It can be found in the Hobbies section of buy mode, in the creativity sub-category. Sims can sing, recite poetry, or perform stand-up comedy. Children can also use the microphone.
How well the Sim performs depends on how high his or her charisma skill is. Other Sims can watch and may boo or cheer. Using the microphone builds the charisma skill. If FreeTime is installed, reciting poetry also builds enthusiasm for the Film and Literature hobby, while singing builds enthusiasm for the Music and Dance hobby.
