When a PlantSim wants to have a child, the user need only click on the Sim and select 'Produce Plantbaby' (No pregnancy, yeah!) and a PlantSim toddler (or toddlers if they have twins) will appear before them. They produce asexually so they can only have one parent unless they have a regular baby naturally with a bed.

Released with the Sims 2 Seasons, PlantSims are created by overuse of pestisides on plants or fruit trees. To become a PlantSim takes time, but more trees in the residence help. If your Sim becomes a PlantSim accidentally, contacting a member of the Garden club may help to restore them back to normal...

PlantSims have only 3 needs.

  • Love (Similar to Social)
  • Water (Can be satisfied by swimming, drinking water, showering, bathing, splashing in puddles, being in the rain, etc.)
  • Sunlight (Can be satisfied by being in the sun or under a special greenhouse light)

They don't need any sleep at all, so your PlantSim family would be wasting valuable Simoleons on beds.

As you can see, the require the same needs as all plants. When a Sim becomes a PlantSim, they can talk to plants (which boosts the plants' health dramatically, as well as the PlantSims 'Love' need) and they automatically receive a Golden Gardening Badge.

PlantSims have only 3 stages of life: 1.Toddler. 2.Adult. 3.Senior. When a PlantSim is born, they inherit all the skills of the parent, which is useful because they don't have the Teen year to gain skills.

All PlantSims have a default hairstyle and clothing, so they all look very much alike aside from their facial features.

Have fun with your PlantSim garden!!
