Sarah McCarthy is a member of the Socialites from the Magic secret sub-neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. She appears in every neighborhood, being occasional the neighbor of Sims who live in a high apartment. She can be made playable by befriending and asking her to move in, or by marrying her.

Like all pre-made townies, Sarah's relationships with other townies are usually randomized at the start of the game. Like all pre-made elder social class Sims, Sarah is unemployed at the start of the game. However if certain other expansion packs are installed, the game may randomly assign her a career to match her social class, when she is first spawned in-game.

As far as personality, Sarah is very active and quite outgoing. But she is somewhat sloppy, and quite serious and grouchy. Like all pre-made elder social class Sims, Sarah has no pre-set skill points. She is mostly interested in Food, Sports, and Entertainment. Sarah has the same facial structure as Marisa Bendett and bears more than a passing resemblance to Mrs. CrumpleBottom.

According to her SimDNA in SimPE, her hair was brown before it turned grey. Sarah is recognizable by her pink top, brown skirt, and bun. The hairstyle and outfit she has is the same one Mrs. CrumpleBottom will get if she is summoned via cheats if Nightlife isn't installed.
