Sarcophagus
|
A sarcophagus can be built by Sims from fragments found in tombs and dig sites, or they can be bought in buy mode using the buydebug cheat. They are an object introduced in The Sims 3: World Adventures. There are four kinds of sarcophagus: Sarcophagus - Plain, Sarcophagus, Blessed Sarcophagus of the Kings, and Cursed Sarcophagus of the Kings. The last two of these are special and relate to making and curing mummies, the new life state introduced in World Adventures. Sims can sleep and WooHoo inside sarcophagi. Sarcophagi are a variety of tomb object.
Types of Sarcophagi
Sarcophagus - Plain
This sarcophagus has no decorations and one recolorable channel. It can be set to hold treasure using the Shift + Ctrl + click command. It can also be set to release mummies in tombs the same way. This is the most common sarcophagus.
Sarcophagus
This sarcophagus is the same as Sarcophagus - Plain, but it has a mummified Sim carving on the front, and four recolorable channels. It is simply more decorative.
Cursed Sarcophagus of the Kings
This sarcophagus is black with gold trim, and has a skeletal face sculpted on it. It is not recolorable. Sims that sleep in this sarcophagus will gradually improve their Athletic skill. However, if they sleep a long time in this sarcophagus twice in a row, the sim will emerge as a Mummy. SimBots that sleep in this sarcophagus a long period of time will emerge with the Evil trait replacing one of their original ones.
Blessed Sarcophagus of the Kings
This sarcophagus is gold with a hearty-faced sculpt on the front. It is not recolorable. Sims that sleep in this sarcophagus recover energy very quickly, and all their other motives will be static. A mummy that sleeps in this a long time will become a normal sim again, however Mummies will not leave this sarcophagus until the player instructs them, meaning they can be preserved in a sort of suspended animation.
