Social classes are groups of townies introduced in The Sims 2: Apartment Life. They consist of Gearheads, Bohemians, Jocks, Techs, and Socialites.
Every lot is categorized in a low, medium, or high class. Depending on the class determines which social class will often be there. The class is determined by how expensive objects are and how expensive surrounding lots are. The social classes there all react with a good relationship boost for their gesture or story. If asocial class becomes a playable Sim, then the boost will be as if doing it on a normal Sim.
Gearheads
Gearheads are the lowest class. As a result, they appear in low class lots. Their gesture is a "Tough Handshake", and their favorite story is "Tinkering".
