I propose we add sections to this article for Electronics in The Sims (1), The Sims 2, The Sims 3, The Sims 4, and so on. This way, for instance, in the Sims 4, we can make the distinction that regular clocks (not just alarm clocks) are included in electronics, but there are no burglar alarms (or burglars) in Sims 4. The Categories section could be moved into each section, since Electronics may be categorized differently in different games.
Also, how much detail do we want to put into this article about the different Electronics objects themselves? That seems like a topic for the sub-categories within Electronics. Simsilikesims (talk) 03:09, December 20, 2015 (UTC)
- I'd say only a brief-ish summary. Information about the individual objects themselves are probably better off in their own article, like Burglar alarm. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 03:29, December 20, 2015 (UTC) 4
- Oh (onto Simsilikesims idea) how about each section had a sub-section of "Gallery", each displaying images (4-5) of individual cropped catalogs that display the items? DrakonoSkerdikas (talk) 22:42, December 12, 2018 (UTC)
In other games[edit source]
I suspect this category/classification is officially present in console games. Not sure about all of them. Those who can have them can confirm it by checking in their buy mode what the catalog is called.DrakonoSkerdikas (talk) 12:13, December 14, 2018 (UTC)
Will need updating to include items from all expansion/stuff packs, displayed from community lots (as certain ones are only available in that type of lot).DrakonoSkerdikas (talk) 20:30, December 23, 2018 (UTC)
