Natural hair colour[edit source]

Relocated from User talk:Dimitrios3

I originally had Double Deluxe and I currently own the Ultimate Collection. Her SimDNA in SimPE shows that her natural hair colour is brown. See it here. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 04:41, August 16, 2014 (UTC)

Just the base game and Ultimate Collection, or Double Deluxe as well? -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:49, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
For me, in the Ultimate Collection, it shows Jan Tellerman has blonde hair. In my original Sims 2 DVD, it shows her SimsDNA

hair as brown. Dimitrios3 (talk) 05:18, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
Clearly Auror's and Dimitrio's findings contradict each other, so I'm uncertain which I'm supposed to believe.
Personally I'd request that a third editor (preferably an admin or an experienced non admin) who has Double Deluxe and / or the Ultimate Collection, would check the game files to see which information is more accurate. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:07, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
That's definitely odd. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 08:25, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
I have Double Deluxe but not the Ultimate Collection. Does the Ultimate Collection include Double Deluxe? I know it includes the evil collection packs... --k6ka (talk | contribs) 12:41, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
If it means anything, my regular TS2 also says Jan has brown hair DNA. Nikel Talk Vote! 13:15, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
Do you mind a fifth editor? ;)
I have the Ultimate Collection as well, and checking her DNA yielded me brown hair, as both dominant and recessive genes. OpelSpeedster (talk) 20:52, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
Do you mind a fifth editor? - Not at all! :) -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 20:58, August 16, 2014 (UTC)

I have Double Deluxe, and it appears that EA has indeed modified those files. She has brown hair genetics. However, in the fixed templates, she has blonde hair genetics. Since Tellerman was probably modified by EAxis in Deluxe/Double Deluxe, and since Tarlia (the creator of the fixed templates) may have corrected this, hmm. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 21:21, August 16, 2014 (UTC)

So should I keep the reference or should I remove it? -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 22:29, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
I hate to say this since I was the one who first said her hair was corrected, but I was wrong. I noticed the folder for N001 had a different date modified time than N002 and N003 and looked in my Recycle bin and found I had deleted an N001 folder. I have no recollection of doing this and do not know why I would have only replaced N001 and not N002 and N003 while I was at it. The EA files with The Ultimate Collection show Jan Tellerman with brown hair. It was the fixed template that K6ka mentioned in his/her post that I had in my program files folder.
I am sorry for any trouble and confusion that I have caused. I am usually very careful when I state something, but I obviously was not careful enough this time. Dimitrios3 (talk) 02:54, August 17, 2014 (UTC)Dimitrios3
It's alright, no harm done. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 02:57, August 17, 2014 (UTC)
Should we add the info from the fixed templates, then? --k6ka (talk | contribs) 11:26, August 17, 2014 (UTC)
