John had always wanted to be a politician, seeing that his grandfather was one. He did not want to join his father's business and instead moved to Sunset Valley with his family, thinking that the beautiful countryside would be a good home for him. He is quickly proven wrong, however, when he gets a job with none other than Vita Alto as his boss. The dispute between the Landgraabs and the Altos, and the atrocities the Altos were willing to take to demolish the local businesses, has changed John's life — and his outlook towards the town — forever.
