Creating pages[edit source]

There was no need to create the pages Try for Baby and Alien Baby. The information already exists on the pages Pregnancy, WooHoo and Baby. To practice your editing, check out this page. This will help you to become more experienced without creating or editing serious content. C.Syde65 (talk) 23:54, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

Your Recently Created Pages[edit source]

Hello, and welcome to The Sims Wiki. Unfortunately, two of your recently created pages - Alien Baby and Try for Baby - has been deleted due to being redundant and unnecessary. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. The deletion discussion for these pages are available at Category talk:Candidates for deletion.

If you feel that these pages should not have been deleted, do not recreate them immediately. Instead, discuss with the members of the community and gain consensus before recreating. Remember - page deletions are not a token of shame - treat this like a learning point.

The following is the source code for the deleted pages:

Alien Baby

This is already explained on the Baby page. Speedydelete Alien babies are featured in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3: Seasons. (Main Article: Alien Abduction) ==The Sims 2 == If a sim gazes through a telespe at night, they have a chance of being abducted by aliens. Male adult sims will always return pregnant with an alien-hybrid baby as long as they are more than three days away from becoming an elder and have room for more sims to join the household. Female sims can only become alien pregnant through cheats or third party hacks. After being impregnated by aliens, a male sim will be treated just like a pregnant female sim, they will even get maternity leave. After three days, the pregnant male will give birth to an alien/sim hybrid baby. ==The Sims 3: Seasons== Alien babies and pregnancy returns in The Sims 3: Seasons. There are two methods to obtan an alien baby. The first method is if a human or ghostconfirm sim looks through a telescope between the hours of 6:00pm and 5:00am there is a 16% chance of that sim being abducted. However, like in The Sims 2 only male sims will return pregnant. After a male is abducted there is a 50/50 chance that he is pregnant. When he returns he will gain an "abducted" moodlet. When it goes away and a new moodlet that says Unexpected Weight Gain appears, that means that sim is pregnant. Unlike in The Sims 2, pregnant males are treated different from pregnant females. They do not get maternity leave and can still impregnate a female sim through Try for Baby. After three days of pregnancy the sim will birth a pure blood alien, not a hybrid. The Second method is to move two pure blood alien sims into the town a make them try for baby. Their child will be a pure blood alien. Either way when the baby ages up to a young adult they will retain all alien abilities. ==Trivia== *A fake alien baby was featured in The Sims 3: Late Night.

Try for Baby

This is already explained on the WooHoo page. Speedydelete Try for baby is an interaction that is only available when two sims of the opposite gender have a hgh enough relationship in The Sims 2, The Sims 3, and The Sims 4. ==The Sims 2== Try for baby is similar to woohoo, but Try for baby can result in pregnancy. After two sims of opposite gender have a high enough realationship, they can try for baby. If the Try for Baby interaction was successful, you will hear a baby chime and the female sim will become pregnant.

If you have questions, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Thanks! K6ka (talk | contribs) 00:39, March 22, 2014 (UTC)

Hi[edit source]

Hello, and welcome to The Sims Wiki. :) Please don't feel unwelcome knowing that the articles you created have been deleted. This is just part of maintaining the wiki. Don't think that the articles you created were poor or bad; they were okay. It was just that what you've written have already existed in this wiki, that's all.

Remember that wikia is not just about editing and adding more articles. There are plenty to read and revise in this wiki as you feel the need to add something. You can also socialize with other users in this wiki if you feel like it! Nikel Talk Vote! 09:58, March 22, 2014 (UTC)

Indeed. You meant well, and you wrote well, and I hope you stick around. Just for reference, our house style is that "Sim" is capitalized. Also, we generally adhere to Wikipedia's conventions on article naming. Dharden (talk) 12:03, March 22, 2014 (UTC)
