Alexander Goth is a pre-made Sim who is introduced in The Sims 2, in which he is the son of Bella and Mortimer Goth, and lives with Mortimer and his sister Cassandra Goth. He has pale skin and Harry Potter like glasses. Unlike the rest of his family, Alexander did not exist in The Sims and is a new addition to The Sims 2. He seems to share his father's intelligence despite his young age and is enrolled in private school, which is why most players give him the Knowledge aspiration when he grows up. Due to the apparent age gap between him and both of his parents, it is believed that he was born just before Mortimer had aged to an elder, resulting in a big age difference between him and his sister. However, there is a picture in the family album of Alexander being held by Cassandra when she was a teenager and he was a baby, and Mortimer is shown as an adult, so it's likely he was born a day or two before Mortimer aged.
He has a memory of being taught to talk by Bella, so she probably was abducted shortly before he grew into a child. However, he has no memory of her abduction. He likes to play with toys, play chess and occasionally play piano. When the family is first played, he is three days away from becoming a teenager.
Trivia
There is a book in The Sims 3 entitled Murder in Pleasantview. It is written by Alexander Goth, although it is unlikely that it is the same Alexander, because Alexander isn't even alive in The Sims 3. There is a possibility that the title of the book is a hint as to more realistic ideas about dealing with the mystery of Bella Goth's disappearance, for players who wish to connect their story as close to The Sims 2 as possible. (Alien abduction is not present in The Sims 3 base game, or in any expansion pack released to date, though it might - or might not - be included in a later expansion pack.)
If you look closely at Alexander's face, he looks more like Victor Goth than either of his parents.
If you send Alexander to college, move him into a dorm by himself so you can see the "Growing Up" movie where a parent drops him off at the dorm and watches him as he "ages up". The parent dropping him off is Bella - at least it was when I did it. Mortimer was already dead. I don't know how if it would be the same if Mortimer was alive.
