Bella Goth, or Bella Bachelor in The Sims 3, is one of the pre-made Sims shipped with the original The Sims game, in which she lived with her husband Mortimer and her daughter Cassandra. Between The Sims and The Sims 2 Bella and Mortimer had one more child, Alexander Goth. In The Sims 2, Bella can not be controlled because between the 25 years that passed between the 1st and 2nd games, she was abdcted by aliens. Bella's marriage to Mortimer does not exist from a program point of view. However, her essence lives on in two ways.

Bella's disappearance from the game is a major component to the background story of Pleasantview, the neighborhood where her family resides. The story does not explicitly state what happened to Bella, although her husband, her children and Don Lothario have memories of her being abducted by aliens. Many of Mortimer's, Cassandra's, and Alexander's memories involve Bella. On the family tree panel, Bella's face is not gray. This indicates that the game does not consider her to be dead.

Although the actual Bella is gone, Maxis created a likeness of Bella and used it as a townie in another neighborhood, Strangetown. This version is a little different to the actual Pleasantview Bella Goth, but is acknowledged by Maxis as the same Bella. The only way to send Bella to Strangetown (without messing up the game code) was to create a new Bella. The fact that the Strangetown Bella has no memories of her loved ones or past life is simply blamed on alien experiments during her abduction. Perhaps Maxis picked her because she is a mysterious yet elegant woman.

In Apartment Life, the new neighborhood, Belladonna Cove, is named in memory of Bella, and a new neighborhood prop shipped in is a (very tall) gold statue of Bella holding a platinum Plumbbob.

In The Sims Bustin' Out, Mortimer and Bella made another appearance, with a slightly older character. This is her bio: "Bella - her name in Italian means "beauty" and it fits her better than her red leather corset. Descended from a long line of occultists, mystics and decadents, she has thrown convention to the wind. Her disdain for the pedestrian and normal is only matched by her sense of ennui and isolation. She distracts herself from this world with a little organ practice and exotic gardenings of the lethal variety".

Life leading up to The Sims 3

There are screenshots that prove Bella Goth, her mom Jocasta Bachelor, Mortimer Goth and maybe Michael Bachelor are in The Sims 3. She and Mortimer are children.

Reuniting the Goths

A few people around the Internet have suggested many ways in order to get the original Bella back. Here are a few suggestions:

  • To get Bella back you must do the following:

First, summon the cheat bar and type in 'boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true'. Hold shift and click on a sim. After you do that, click 'spawn'. There will be many options. Choose The Tombstone of L (Life) and D (Death). Next, click on the tombstone and choose 'Add neighbor to family'. Keep scrolling down until you see Bella. Click on Bella and she will be back! But, you aren't done yet... This is important: You should not leave to lot yet because when you load the lot, Bella will be gone. You must find a way to kill her. (i.e. Fire, Starvation, etc.) and type in 'unlockcareerrewards'. Go to the career rewards menu and choose the 'Resurrect-O-Nomitron'. Once you get it, have a family member use it and call the grim reaper. Choose to resurrect Bella and pay 10,000. Bella will be back and will not die when you reload the lot. Happy Simming!

  • In answer to that, Bella carries a Dead Token, which means that you can bring her to a lot, but once you get off the lot she dies.
  • In order to do it without downloads, first go into a residential lot in Pleasantview with a family in it. Then, type in 'boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true'. After you do this press shift and click on your Sim simultaneously. A menu will appear. Select spawn the tombstone of L & D (Life and Death). When it spawns click the tombstone and choose the option 'Add Neighbor to Family'. Select Bella and she will appear in the family as well as be related to Mortimer, Cassandra, and Alexander. She will have all her memories. However, in order to save Bella to the lot without her disappearing the next time you enter it, you must use SimPE to delete the "I am dead" token from her memories. After you delete it, press "Commit," then "Save," and Bella will be healthy permanently.
  • First go into the Strangetown neighborhood and make a new family or CAS, but there has to be at least one adult in the family. Wait till Bella visits the lot, talk to her, and get her to fall in love with the male Sim so that her relationship meters are both full. Propose to Bella to move in, then move her out of the house alone. Move her house into the catalog and then move her into her own house. She must not meet any of the Goths. Allow her to meet Don Lothario and become best friends with him. Make sure both relationship meters with Don Lothario are full. Then invite Don Lothario to visit and look through the telescope. The real Bella will then be back.
  • Ok this will work FOR REAL so everybody listen to get Bella back go to the Goth house open the cheat window (hold shift ctrl c) & type in boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true (just like i typed it) and shift click on any one of the Goth family members click spawn click tombstone of L and D & click add neighbor to family go through them until you find Bella bring her back then get her and Mortimer remarried save go back to the neighborhood and then go back to the goth house it will say Bella died on another lot NOW this is the important part you need the Sims 2 University for this if you have it your in luck now open the cheat window (click shift control and c at the same time) then type in unlockcareerrewards then get the resurrect-o-nomitron and get one of the goth family members to call the grim reaper and he asks you how much money are you willing to pay give him §10,000 and bella will com back in normal form then save and she will never die again unless you kill her hope i helped :^). THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU DO NOT HAVE UNIVERSITY
  • Ok, this REALLY WORKS! But, to make it work PROPERLY, you MUST be on the CALIENTE family lot. If you try this on ANY other lot, she will die as soon as you restore the game. Here's how it works, type in boolProp testingcheatsEnabled true, shift-click Dina or Nina. Click "Add Neighbor To Family", then click Bella. She will be related to Alexander, Cassaandra, Michael, and her parents. She has no memories, but her skills, personality, and family tree will still be normal, except she is NOT married to Mortimer. Her aspiration in Romance and her sign is Libra. Hope this helps.
  • Okay, this will work. It will make an exact copy of Bella Goth but please note: this will be a copy of the STRANGETOWN TOWNIE Bella, not Plesantview Bella's thumbnail. Also note that if you want this Bella to have memories and relationships you must have SimPe. This is easier though than moving Strangetown Bella TO Pleasantview.
  1. go to Create-A-Sim. GO to the second skin tone if not already there. Then go to step 2, faces. Select the face with the cropped red hair and blue eyes. Based on the shape of the eyebrows, eyes and nose, I believe this is the basic template off of which Maxis created the Strangetown Bella.
  2. change the hair color to black and give this Bella the Bella hairstyle. Give her her normal eye makeup and the red lipstick.
  3. now give her her signature red number. This is not a dress, but a top and a skirt! Select the red strapless tank top twith the teardrop necklace and the red skirt with tights and the red pumps.
  4. Now for her sign, aspiration, turn ons and turn offs. Use Bella's sign from the Sims 1 for this Bella clone. Strangetown Bella's astral sign varies. In my game, the townie married Nervous and her sign was Aries. But in my friend's game, she was a Libra, and in my cousin's game, she was a Leo. So choose Cancer, which it was in th e Sims 1. If you want this Bella to be truly authentic, make her aspiration ROMANCE. But if like me you find Romance most disagreeable, choose another aspiration. Then make her turn ons and turn offs whatever you want them to be. If you want Mortimer to end up with this Bella rather than with Dina, make them gryay hair and facial hair.
  5. Using SimPe, give her memories and relationships. Make her married to and in love with Mortimer and the mother of Cassandra and Alexander, as well as the brother of Michael Bachelor and the daughter of Simis and Jocasta Bachelor. As for memories, make sure to include blearning skills from her parents, growing up well, meeting/going steady with / having her first kiss with/getting engaged to/getting married to Mortimer, having Cass and Alex, teaching them skills, hthe fire that burned down the other Goth estate, the deaths of her parents and brothers, and getting abducted. If her aspiration is romance, make getting engaged and married in red. Use Mortimer's memories with her to help you. Move her in with the Goths. Voila!
This method is better than boolProp [which makes Bella die whenever you restore the game] but it has its flaws. Bella will be 29 days away from being an Elder, which means Mortimer will outlive her. Also her personality will be different, and she will have no skills. But it won't mess up your game like boolProp.

You can also use third-party programs such as SimPE to remove the death token from Bella, so that when you save and come back later, she will not be a ghost and disappear. However, mucking about with the programming and using the boolProp feature is generally not advised. If your computer isn't powerful enough moving Bella out of Strangetown can give it the equivalent of a migraine. Nothing special happens either - no tearful re-union, she is not acknowledged as Cassandra and Alexander's mother nor Mortimer's wife. In the Official Guide the townie of Strangetown is also said to be a fake.

  • To do this you need to be able to DownLoad From ModTheSims2 and FreeTime or above go to ModTheSims2 and DownLoad MegaHood or Uber-MegaHood(only if you have Apartment Life wait until Bella and Morty Meet go to The Goth House Invite Bella Over She'll Come Over Ask Bella To Move In she'll say Yes Then make Bella the Ative Sim And the Counts them as Engaged Bella Has to Purpose Or She'll Leave Mortimer at the Alter. After The Wedding Do The Story As You Want

Follow all thee above and get Bella back

Poems and songs about Bella Goth

Bella, Bella, Bella Goth,

What a pleasant name you've got,
Every gamer wants to find
Pleasant Bella in the mind.

Bella, where did you go?
Where do you live for now?
Everybody misses you now,
How to find you, Bella, how?

Lovely Bella flew away,
Never to be seen again,
People search day after day,
To find the missing lovely dame.

Bella Goth is missing,
It is the fault of Don,
But we will remember her,

Even though she is Gone.

Bella Goth Easter Eggs

There are many easter eggs involving Bella goth [for more info see Easter Eggs]. Here is a complete list so far:

  • Bella Squared: a portrait of Bella you can hang in your Sim's house. Allegedly, if in Strangetown you hang the Bella Squared portrait in your house, Strangetown townie Bella will eventually show up.
  • Marketing Print by Seph Eia: If you have the highest graphic quality set [allowing you to see portraits clearly], you will see that the last two portraits in the marketing print are of Bella Goth.
  • Pianist: On SimStation Dance, some people say the pianist in the R&B song is Bella Goth, but this is not true. She has brown hair and glasses, her face doesn't match Bella's face too.
  • Milk: When your Sim is making cereal or some other meal involving milk, zoom in and check the carton. A "missing" photo of Bella can be seen. It isn't very clear, though.
  • Hot Air Balloon: A little graphic that looks a lot like Bella can be seen inside of the hot air balloon's basket. Some people say she is in the balloon with Don, but it looks more like Dreamboat from the Sims. Others say the graphic is not Bella at all but Blonde Bombshell. Look for yourself and decide.
  • Belladonna Cove Statue: Easily the most conspicuous easter egg, this is a huge golden statue of bella holding a platinum plumbbob.
  • Broken Bella and Mortimer snow globe: One of the many hidden files found and posted on modthesims2[1].
  • Fireplace: In the Goth family album, there is a picture of Cassandra and a modern looking fireplace. In another picture, you see Don kissing Cassandra, but the fireplace is changed to the most expensive one. If you look at the textures of the modern looking fireplace, there is a picture of Bella.
  • Music: There is a song under the Jazz section on the radio entitled "Good Evening Bella". There is also one called Mortimer's touch.

Appearance

Bella's hair didn't changed much in The Sims and The Sims 2, and neither did her red dress {except her green necklace in The Sims 2). In The Sims Bustin' Out, she is seen wearing a red leather corset gown. In The Sims 3, as a child, she wears two different outfits, a purple t-shirt with white arms and greeny/grey shorts, and a red dress similar to the one she wears in The Sims and The Sims 2

Bella Goth in Other Games

Bella Goth is perhaps one of the most well known sims. She appeared in The Sims Bustin' Out along with her husband Mortimer, she was in the TV family in The Sims 2 for Gameboy Advance, she appeared in The Sims 2 for PSP, and she appeared in SimCity 4.
