Cathy Reiner is one of the pre-made NPC Fitness Hobby instructors who comes from Hobbies, the secret sub-neighborhood introduced with The Sims 2: FreeTime. The other two fitness hobby instructors are Richard Beckett and Vyn Shibata. She appears in every neighborhood once FreeTime has been installed. Cathy can be made playable by befriending and asking her to move in, or by marrying her. She has long red hair in braids, grey eyes, and tanned skin. Cathy is a Knowledge Sim with the Sagittarius zodiac sign.

As far as personality, she is very active, and quite playful. But Cathy is very sloppy, quite shy, and somewhat grouchy. She is mostly interested in Crime. Cathy has the same facial structure as Andrea Lind. Her pre-destined hobby is Nature. Even though her default head-shot depicts her having long hair in braids, and the same red top and green necklace as Bella Goth, when Cathy is first spawned in-game, she will have medium-length hair in a ponytail, with a dark blue hat. She will also wear a blue sports coach uniform. However Cathy will still retain the hairstyle in her default thumbnail, for most outfits besides everyday.
