Claire Ursine is a reclusive angler living by the ocean. Since she lives alone, she is hopeful that no one will notice her unexpectedly changing waistline.
Claire Ursine is a pre-made Sim who appears in The Sims 3. She resides alone by the beach in Sunset Valley and loves to fish. She works in the Criminalcareer track. She is also pregnant with her first child, the father being her next-door neighbor and ex-boyfriend, Jared Frio. When the family is first played, Claire is 16 days from being an elder.
It has been speculated that she is a nod to Claire the Bear from The Sims: Hot Date, due to their similar first names and the fact that Ursine means of, relating to, or resembling bears. Her appearance and clothing are bear-like, she has the angler trait, and is a kleptomaniac (meaning she has a tendency to go through her neighbors' garbage cans). These traits suggest bear-like qualities. Claire needs 7 points in the Athleticskill to receive a promotion, but at the start of the game, she only has 3.
