Jared Frio is a pre-made Sim who lives in Sunset Valley with his younger brother Connor. He is a young adult and is 11 days away from becoming an adult.

Jared is Claire Ursine's ex-boyfriend and he is the father of her unborn child. His biography indicates that he is good at befriending people and charming them, with Claire Ursine as an example. However, he actually has the inappropriate and mean spirited traits, which means he enjoys insulting, humiliating, and teasing/mocking others. Therefore, if left alone, he will choose to have these interactions with other Sims, even his friends.

Although Jared's lifetime wish is to be a Celebrated 5-star Chef, he is said to be unsure of what to do with his life, being employed in the culinary career as a spice runner and knowing that he is good at cooking, he lacks the drive to do better. He is friends with Madison VanWatson.

In earlier patches, when first playing him, he will often talk to Monika Morris on the computer, leading them to become usually girlfriend and boyfriend. In later versions of the game, however, he and Claire often reconcile, and eventually marry, and have another child together. ^{[confirmation needed]} Sometimes if the player leaves Jared alone, he is often seen starting a relationship with Madison VanWatson or Monika Morris.
