Juan Darer is a pre-made male Sim from The Sims 3: Ambitions who is an elder. He is often one of the first Sims in Twinbrook to die of old age and starts the game at 82-days old. He has four points in painting, one point in sculpting, two points in athletic, and six points in inventing. Juan starts out the game as retired from the Professional Sports career as a Toddler Sports Coach. He is best friends forever with Harwood Clay and is the ex-boyfriend of Milly Pidgin.

He lives in a barn besides the burnt down remains of his house at 27 Herring Ranch Road. It's implied that he lost his house to an Earthquake or a fire. He has a lot of artistic objects on his lot. Juan lives alone atop a hill where there are neither many houses nor neighbors around.

He is one of the few pre-made Sims to have a red complexion, possibly alluding to the "burnt" look from the fire. His name is a pun on "Wanderer" which matches his Romani-like appearance. Juan's hair color is a mix of grey and black. He shares his surname with Lacy Darer, albeit they do not appear to be related.

Juan is one of the few pre-made Sims who have a unibrow, along with the local child abuse social worker Al Lyffe.
