Darren Contrary is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Desiderata Valley, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: FreeTime. He was the husband of Tessica Contrary, the father of Talbot Contrary, the grandfather of Edward Contrary, and the great grandfather of Rick Contrary. Darren is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. He has the Family aspiration, and the Leo zodiac sign.

As far as personality, Darren is extremely outgoing. But he is somewhat sloppy, lazy, and serious, and quite grouchy. According to Darren's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was red before it turned grey. According to his age data, he had 13 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Darren's facial structure is almost if not identical to the 1st Maxis face template in Create a Sim.
