Edward Dregg is a pre-made male Sim who appears in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage, The Sims Castaway Stories and The Sims 3: Island Paradise.
Life leading up to The Sims 3
In The Sims 3: Island Paradise, Edward Dregg is a ghost that died by drowning who appears in Isla Paradiso with his wife, Cara Dregg. Unlike The Sims 2: Bon Voyage, he is a playable ghost, not an NPC. It is implied in his biography that he dreams of visiting Twikkii Island, possibly setting Isla Paradiso's timeline before the events of The Sims 2. He has 5 points in Charisma, 4 in Fishing, 3 in Scuba Diving, and two in Cooking.
Life leading up to The Sims 2 and The Sims Castaway Stories
Pirate Captain Edward Dregg is a male ghost that appears on Twikkii Island in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage and in Buccaneer Cove on Wanmami Island in The Sims Castaway Stories. He comes out of the captain's cabin on the pirate ship after Sims have plundered it several times, and he'll hang around on the ship for a while afterward. If Sims raise their relationship with him, they can ask him to teach them how to sing a sea chantey. This will add the vacation memento "Learned a Sea Chantey" after they have sung it twice. However, the only interactions for him is to tell jokes and admire him, though he probably won't accept the admire interaction right away.
Notes
- When summoned to a lot by the mailbox with testingcheatsenabled, in the Make NPC section that summons random NPC's and visitors he is referred to as the Ghost Captain. It has been reported that summoning him may not work.
- He has the 27th face template in Create a Sim.
- His personality, zodiac sign, aspiration, skill points and interests are randomized when his character is generated in-game.
- Edward is generated once his NPC purpose is needed, unlike most other NPCs that exist before the start of the game. So technically speaking, there are no pre-made Pirate Captains, only computer generated ones. This is also the case of the Wise Old Man.
- Even though Edward has black hair, his natural hair color is actually brown.
