Anthony Nagel (rhymes with "haggle", born November 9, 1996) is a Sim and the Author Avatar of the user Gourd Roger in The Sims series. He appears in both The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, with two separate incarnations for each game. His name is meant to be a pun on the real name of the author as he sarcastically represents Simmers who tend to try to look like themselves hence, a display of the Author Avatar trope.
For his Sims 3 incarnation, he lives in Appaloosa Plains with his two pet cats named Purble and Santana. He currently works in the Architecture career after having worked in the Business, Military and Music careers to achieve his lifetime wish. As of this date, he remains single.
For his Sims 4 incarnation, he lives alone in The Summer Home in Windenburg and works as a Scientist in the Scientist Neighborhood. He is also in a relationship with Raphaela Bellante, a shop owner and a Secret Agent from Oasis Springs. With the introduction of The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs, he adopted a pet dog named LB.

Anthony is a Loner, Geek and a Genius Sim. He can get Focused very easily as long as he gets in front of the computer or any science device. He was also slightly skeptic and oblivious when it comes to relationships due to Sabrina, his first girlfriend.
Appearance
Anthony is intended to look like his creator. He is a mestizo, or a person having both Asian and European features, of average height. He has black hair, light skin and dark brown eyes which is similar to most Asians to date. He is also slightly fat although his body is still generally fit but only roughly 50% muscle. His hair is generally medium length throughout the series. However unlike the author, he is also of German ancestry.
He is perceived to look "teeny" and youthful despite being a young adult. His voice is also slightly higher than the average due to his small stature compared to most other Sims. For both incarnations of the character, he is always seen wearing glasses. In The Sims 3, he wore glasses for his Everyday and Formalwear. In The Sims 4, he also wears glasses for his Party outfit and in his uniform for the current level of his Science career.
He is meticulous when it comes to picking his Everyday and Party clothes. This make him quite recognizable in social situations and in some occasions, it makes him Tense due to his Loner trait.
