Gaylord Koffi is Gobias Koffi's father. He is buried in Pleasant Rest Graveyard, and sometimes appears as a ghost in the cemetery.

Gobias Koffi's mother does not appear in the family tree, so it is possible that Gaylord adopted him. His first name may be a pun on the slang term "gay" - meaning "homosexual," thereby implying that he is homosexual. However, "Gaylord" is an actual, if uncommon, given name.  It may (or may also) have been intended to sound somewhat "old-fashioned".

Strangely, he has both the "Can't Stand Art" and "Artistic" traits, even though they conflict. This is only possible through 'testingcheatsenabled true'.

It is possible that he was originally from Appaloosa Plains, hinted at both by his cowboy-like appearance and the fact that the aforementioned town is home to The Koffi Café.

Also, he shares the same favorites with Queenie Landgraab; Latin, Red, and Lobster Thermador. This may show a connection to Queenie though highly unlikely and impossible to check as Sims 2 shows the deeper connections. While in Sims 3 you must create the long family line. Queenie Landgraab shows no connection to Gaylord as she is married, blond, young adult, and was in a fire unlike Gaylord who was starved to death.
