This is a list of songs from all versions of The Sims 2 and its expansion and stuff packs. This list is separated into songs that are played in the neighborhood view, buy and build modes, Create a Sim, and on loading screens, as well as the Simlish songs that are played on the different radio stations on stereos and community lot wall speakers. Each expansion pack and some stuff packs include songs.
It is possible to create custom radio stations with The Sims 2: FreeTime. These custom stations can contain any song in-game—including build, buy, and CAS songs—and can be played on any stereo.

Radio station music
The Sims 2 features 20 different radio stations, as well as an additional Holiday-themed station that is only available to listen to on a specific stereo. 6 stations are available with the base game, with others being introduced through expansion packs. Each expansion and stuff pack also added new songs to the existing stations as well.

The Sims 2 (console)
The console version of The Sims 2 features entirely unique radio station music, but borrows music from The Sims 2 Nightlife for the different modes. Many of the songs were originally recorded for The Urbz: Sims in the City and were held over to be used in The Urbz 2, which was ultimately refactored into The Sims 2. Other songs are remastered from selected artists' work. The music on the Bluegrass station was originally intended to be included on a country-themed station in the PC game, but was cut before release. One of the songs can be heard in a pre-release montage of music from the game, despite not appearing in the final release.
Several real-life songs were rerecorded into Simlish, and can be played individually on a stereo, much like selecting a radio station. These artists are Fischerspooner, Kitty Shack, MXPX, Paramore, Reggie & the Full Effect, and Trivium.
