Maeve Caer ( /ˈmeɪv kɛər/) is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during her lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. She was the wife of Steve Caer, the mother of Sullivan Caer, the grandmother of Olivia Riley (née Caer), and the great-grandmother of Sally Riley. Maeve is completely resurrectable, even though she doesn't have a grave. She has the Fortune aspiration, and the Aquarius zodiac sign. As far as personality, Maeve is quite playful and somewhat nice. But she is somewhat sloppy, shy, and lazy.

Maeve is one of the few ancestral Sims to die as an adult, so she died a premature death. According to her age data, she had 29 days left in the adult life stage when she died. Maeve's facial structure is almost if not identical to the 1st Maxis face template in Create a Sim. Unlike several other married ancestors from Apartment Life who have memories of their spouses, she only has Mystery Sim memories. However Maeve still has the memory of giving birth to Sullivan. Despite her aspiration, she isn't interested in Money.
