Malcolm Landgraab IV is a pre-created Sim who lives alone in a large mansion in Bluewater Village, the default shopping district. He has the same first name as his great grandfather, grandfather and father. When first played, he is at the beginning of the adult life stage, and has three skill points in Charisma.

He owns two community lots, Club Dante and Electronics Supercenter. Even though the Electronics Supercenter sells TV sets, he does not own one. However, the house is very well furnished, with expensive furniture. Since Fortune Sims often want to buy furniture, this may complicate satisfying some of Malcolm's wants.

In the Landgraab family album, there is a picture of Malcolm and a woman who resembles Nina Caliente in the hot tub. Her face is not clearly visible, and Malcolm and Nina have no memories of one another[1], so players may handle this as they choose.

According to a picture in the family album, his parents died while he was a child, leaving him to be raised by his paternal grandparents, Malcolm Landgraab II and Marion Landgraab.

There is a dormitory at Sim State University named "Landgraab House", but it's unlikely that it was named after him.

Members of his family have appeared in The Sims for consoles and The Sims Bustin' Out.

Notes

  1. Malcolm can't have memories of Nina because he will exist in any neighborhood the Bluewater Village shopping district is associated with, but Nina only exists in Pleasantview. Nina can't have memories of Malcolm because he won't be present if a player doesn't have Open for Business, or doesn't use Bluewater Village with Pleasantview.

It can be troublesome to have Malcolm get married, as his spouse will inherit the “IV” part of his last name, unless the player uses SimPE to edit it out.

Memories

  • Potty Trained by Margaret
  • Learned to talk by Marion
  • Learned to walk by Blair
  • Grew Up Well
  • Margaret Died
  • Got into Private School

  • Malcolm II Died
  • Met Mystery Sim
  • Made Best Friends with Mystery Sim
  • Marion Died
  • Had Very First Kiss with Mystery Sim

That he has no memory of his father's death indicates that Malcolm Landgraab III may have died while Margaret was pregnant. Also, his memories show that his grandparents had an active role in his raising even before his mother's death, something very unusual, as most pre-made Sims don't have memories of their grandparents.

Trivia

Malcolm's name has an extra space at the end of it, appearing in the game as "Malcolm Landgraab IV". While this is very undetectable and probably a simple forgivable mistake by the creator's part, it can be rather bothersome for those who do spot it.
