Mariana Matlapin is one of the pre-created, yet unplayable Sims featured in The Sims 2 as ancestors of playable, pre-created Sims. Though deceased when the game begins, you can see her in the family trees of playable Sims Darren Dreamer and Dirk Dreamer, who are her son-in-law and grandson, respectively. Mariana is the only known ancestor of Dirk that does not have dark skin.

According to Mariana's SimDNA in SimPE, her hair was black before it turned grey, meaning that she probably dyed it brown in the The Sims 3.

Background

She resided, during her lifetime, in Lucky Palms, one of the neighborhoods that is available through The Sims 3 Store. She is the mother of Darleen Dreamer and the wife of Omar Matlapin.

Sometime before the start of The Sims 2, Mariana and her husband both died of unknown causes. Their daughter later moved to Pleasantview, which is where she married Darren and gave birth to Mariana's grandson Dirk.
