Marshall Curious is the husband of Cherish Curious, father of Notzo Curious and Bunny Curious, grandfather of Glarn Curious, great-grandfather of Chloe Singles, Lola Singles, Jenny Smith, Pascal Curious, Vidcund Curious and Lazlo Curious, great-great-grandfather of Johnny Smith, Jill Smith, and Tycho Curious. Mistakenly, he, his wife, Cherish, and daughter, Bunny do not appear alive or deceased in any of the other Sims games while Notzo Curious appears already deceased in The Sims 2.

Marshall's family description text states that his work has much more importance to future generations than he imagined.
