Melody is a [[school|public school]] student, and has a C report card. When the player first loads the family, she is 14 days away from becoming an [[adult]]. Like her parents, Melody is very neat, and not too outgoing. Unlike them, she is not very playful, which may be one reason she doesn't want to run a toy shop.


Another possible reason is hinted at in the family album, which shows a [[toddler]], presumably young Melody, being frightened by an evil [[Toy Making#Clown-in-a-Box|Clown-in-a-Box]]. While being frightened by an evil Clown-in-a-Box is considered a negative memory, she doesn't have a memory of this, or any [[memories]] at all.
