Plumbot are the latest life state that will be included with The Sims 3: Into the Future. There will be a "Create-A-Bot" feature, which will allow Plumbots to be customizable to some extent, and they will be able to have up to seven "trait chips". The Plumbot is shown in the announce trailer and in some promotional images. The trailer suggests that Plumbots will be able to scan Sims in some fashion.

Create-A-Bot

The announce trailer suggests that it will be possible to create Plumbots inside a special machine, and that it will be possible to customize them much as Sims can be customized in Create a Sim, but in a style suitable to a robot. The trailer suggests that the player will be able to choose some parts such as Head, Body, Arms and Legs, and will be able to color the parts in a manner similar to Create a Style. It also suggests that the player will be able to select attributes such as Gender, Fitness and Age.

Basics

The very top button of the five tabs is basics where the player chooses a name, the age and the body shape.

Create-A-Bot

Create-A-Bot

First Name: Type in the Plumbot's first name.

Last Name: Type in the Plumbot's last name.

Gender: Choose either Male or Female.

Age: As of yet, it is not known which life stages Plumbots will have.

Weight: Thin, Fat or Middle

Head

The player can choose a head from the collection..

Body/Torso

The player can choose a torso from the collection.

Arms

The player can choose arms from the collection.

Legs

The player can choose legs or a hover bottom from the collection.
