Space usage by Sims game refers to the space The Sims games take when saved. This article will show how many saved games per game and the space used by these saves.
PC/Mac
The PC and Mac versions, unlike the console versions, use many different files of variable length based on how many Sims are in the neighborhood, how many lots that have been created and even how many neighborhoods there are. There are also log files from any errors that may have occurred in the game or from using testingcheatsenabled and using the "Force Error" command, which are in the .txt format. The save files can be in all different formats depending on content, such as .package, .sc4, .cache amongst many other system files used by the game.

- For PS2, PSP and GameCube games, the space usage is from the back on the case or from the system using the Data screen. For other systems, space usage is from the Data screen.
- GBA and DS games have a fixed amount of save space installed on the game cartridge itself. Some of this space is allocated into "slots" for saved games, which are stored on the cartridges.
