Re: Colored usernames

The colors correspond to Bureaucrat (green) or Administrator (red) ranks. I don't think there has been any discussion of opening them up to non-admins, and in any case setting the colors requires editing a couple .css pages, which non-admins can't do. -- LostInRiverview ^{talk ~ blog} 01:54, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

That's why it creeps me out. Sometimes some users just use it and I'm shocked when they call my (user)name.

Families of a single Sim

It has been agreed quite long ago that we not to create a family article of family consisting of a single Sim. This includes the castaway Sims from Felicity Island. However, if the Sim lives alone, but they deceased family members, the family article can still be created. This is because there's essentially no difference between the family and Sim's article, so there's no use to separate the articles. Nikel _{Talk – Vote!} 09:01, September 29, 2013 (UTC)

I'm sure the family information has been covered in the neighborhood page, such as the family bio, family funds, and household members. Hey, sorry about your Chat problems - the question I had in mind was nothing important and can wait, hope you get Chat problems fixed soon though! If you want a tip; you should try clearing your Cache and then doing a hard refresh on the wiki and try joining Chat, it works for me all of the time. Thanks! It did take a while for me to prepare all those images and resources... But my grammar is still terrible, so Dharden or LiR would usually clean up the page later. :/ It's not exactly difficult to upload all the images because I used Special:MultipleUpload. Well, it does seem to be an excuse to make references to certain body parts. I think we could call that inappropriate, whether or not the word bothers you -- especially given his other actions. Ron Condor's headshot

That's news to me. But seeing from the folder directory (I can see it at the top), it seems that it's from your saved game, not from the original files. I wonder if that counts?

Also, I didn't pay enough attention when you uploaded the headshots of these Sims. Are your headshots in .jpg or .png? It's not exactly important or what, but it would be better if you get the .png files. Just sayin' though. Nikel _{Talk – Vote!} 06:49, October 21, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I did opted for .png, but the SimPE in default extracted the headshots in .jpg. So, rather than converting those to .png in another image editor program, I proceeded in uploading those headshots instead.

And, it seems you're right, the headshot changed to the one I've uploaded after the storyline is finished. Though, I'm pretty sure that NPCs shall never change their headshots (unless they're added to the household and make them playable). --Frostwalker ^{Talk to me!} 07:02, October 21, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Siphon or Syphon

That's the sort of thing I'd expect to vary between the North American release and the overseas-English release. Since US English is preferred here, my inclination is to go with whatever the North American release uses, and to use "siphon" until we know what that is, since that is the US spelling. "Syphon" may be an acceptable variant of "siphon" according to dictionaries, but IME, it is rarely used over here. I have no problem with using whatever the game uses, I just want to be sure of what that is -- and whether or not it's the same in all English-language releases. Woodworking

Well Hobby (The Sims FreePlay) says that there is Woodoworking hobby. But what matters to me is that the anon kept adding Woodworking as the latest version of the game. RE: Template Maintenance

Actually, it does. The visual difference is just not obvious. In fact, if these changes weren't made, there would actually be extra spaces on trait and favorite rows whenever {{Sim}} infobox was used in namespaces outside main and fanon, say, userpage. It was very irritating since the row itself was already narrow, while the extra space would make it wider. And you need to edit the templates before you can see the difference, so the history wouldn't help explain it visually.

But I'm not quite sure with the title of this talk. Are you referring to the discussion I recently started or the Misc template? Nikel _{Talk – Vote!} 14:14, November 18, 2013 (UTC)

Ah, I see... Extra spacing sometimes makes differences, albeit very minor. Most of the times they're not noticeable, but sometimes they do. Removing these extra spaces may not always have effects, but I always enforce consistency to remove them. Besides, I feel that having minimum spaces is better than extra spaces. I made a perfectly fine change to Seema Sielen's page, and you reverted it.

Shes a mermaid in both my game, and anyone else i know's game if they have island paradise installed.
