Content moderator rights request

I wanted to let you know that your content moderator rights request has been approved. Congratulations!

What now?

As you know, content moderator rights give you access to a few new tools to aid in the moderation of The Sims Wiki.

You have the ability to rollback vandalism on The Sims Wiki. To see how this tool works, as well as when it should and should not be used, review this page. Understand that the rollback tool should only be used to revert obvious cases of vandalism, because rolling-back an edit does not allow the use of an edit summary to explain why the rollback is taking place.

You have the ability to protect and unprotect pages on the wiki, as well as the ability to edit fully-protected pages. It is standard practice on The Sims Wiki to leave pages unprotected unless there is a specific reason for protecting them, and then only using the lowest amount of protection necessary, and protecting for the shortest period of time as needed.

Finally, you have the ability to delete and un-delete pages on the wiki. Be aware that the wiki has standards regarding how and when pages get deleted, usually dependent on whether or not the pages meet criteria for speedy deletion or not.

What if you need help?

Remember that the other administrators and bureaucrats on the wiki are here to support you and assist you if you need it. If there's ever anything you're unsure or confused about, you can always reach out to one of us via our talk pages, on Discord, or even on the Admin Portal talk page.

Deletion of List of ghosts (the sims 3)

Hi KailynnKat. I noticed you deleted List of ghosts (the sims 3). I had a look at the page and it doesn't seem to meet any of the newly established criteria for speedy deletion. In this case, it would have to go through pages for deletion and a discussion would have to take place before it could be deleted; it could also either be merged into another article or moved into the creator's userspace, among other solutions, rather than deletion. This is mostly in place to ensure that administrators and content moderators aren't able to delete pages single-handedly, but rather delete either on predefined consensus or consensus formed from a discussion. Outfits for Galleries on Sims 3 Pages Guidance

Hello! I noticed you had uploaded the latest version of the outfits image in Malcom Landgraab's gallery. Being that you are a moderator I wanted to ask for your guidance on the issue I posted about here . I am trying to upload images of each Sim's preset outfits for Sims 3 premade sims starting with Sunset Valley and the family bin sims. I'm making good progress. But I'm not sure what to do about pages that already have outfit images in their gallery. I did notice that the Malcom Landgraab image  you uploaded used to be one of the individual outfit screenshots that I mentioned in the linked post. So can I assume that it is alright for me to replace images on other pages with the individual outfit images, like Parker's? As for pages like Malcom's where you (or someone else) has uploaded a single image already, should I leave those alone or is replacing them with images with the solid background that I am using ok? I am already replacing the images I made myself before I started using the solid background myself, so it would be no trouble to do so with images I did not put up myself. I think it would be nice to have the outfit images be uniform in apperance but if it would be better to leave them alone I will do so, I do not want to step on any toes!

Edit to update: I have gotten the go ahead from K6ka to replace the existing images on pages like Parker's, where the now inactive user added the outfits as individual images without the UI cropped out. I am no longer certain whether I even want to replace the majority of the images you yourself added. I have reviewed more pages where you have added wardrobe images and I have decided they look rather nice. They are well aligned (an aspect I'm not as confident about in my images) and I do like how you included the mirror to allow the back of the outfit to be seen (which cannot be done with my solid backgrounds). Malcom Landgraab's image does not include the later feature, so with that one specifically I am more inclinded to want to replace the image with my own (with your go ahead, as I do not want to step on toes regardless of my personal inclinations, but I already have the image prepared if I get your go ahead). I am still inclinded to want the wardrobe images to be uniform if possible, but this is a minor concern if the existing image is superior to the one I would be adding, which I think may be the case compared to your images.

Regardless I am willing to do whichever seems better to you, especially now that I am only asking about the images that you added. I have prepared potential replacement images for the Goths already and I am about to do so with the Bachelors. So if you yourself would prefer the Goths and Bachelors to be uniform with the rest of my project to add outfit images to every premade Sims 3 sim's page I can do so, or leave them alone if you would rather them be left alone. As I said I am now leaning towards the later for my own personal preference (with the exception of Malcom's image specifically) but I am willing and prepared to do whichever seems better to you. I will leave those images alone until you get the chance to reply.

Sorry for the walls of text here lol, thats proven to be a tough habit to break in the past because I have ASD. Thank you for taking the time to read this if and when you get the chance. Thank you for your answer! In that case I will upload the replacement images I had made up for all the Sim's pages just to have everything uniform. Also good catch with the hat thing, I did think it was strange that Parker was wearing his hat to bed and into the pool but thought it just a weird quirk of his. Of course he still needs to look sill wearing it with his formal outfit! Fixing Parker's image turned out to be rather easy as the solid background made it very easy to just cover up the two outfits that needed fixing, so it wasn't even a big headache! Also I should say that I don't mind a little tedium, its one of the advantages of my ASD :) .
