Deleting comments on talk pages
Please don't remove comments from discussion pages, like you did on Talk:The_Sims_3:_Late_Night; even if you disagree with what someone says, or someone is incorrect in a statement. The better action would be for you to post a kind response to the original poster, countering their statement and, if possible, providing citation to back up your claims. As a result, the reversion you made to that talk page has been undone.

It is generally unacceptable to delete content from talk pages, unless that content violates any of the wiki's policies. If you have any questions regarding this or any other issues, please leave me a message on my talk page. Thank You. -- Patrick (LostInRiverview)<small> (talk)(blog)(random page)</small> 05:09, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Welcome

Hi, and welcome to The Sims Wiki, Bafendo! Thanks for your edit to the The Sims 3: Ambitions page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything about the wiki! (If you have questions about the game, please ask them in the Forum.) -- A morris (Talk) 16:52, 2010 March 25

Bafendo

Hi, Do You Want To Make The 3rd Expansion Pack For The Sims 3? Ask Us Back From The Sims Team xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

your problem

Please don't be rude. I have put a confirmtion note on it. If you need to discuss anything, please go to the discussion page or the forum. If you need to look at the templates, when making new sim pages, go to the community Portal. Thank you. Archie 23:59, May 12, 2010 (UTC)

i'm sorry. i just read that fourm with that post. once again i apologize. i guess they decided to rename it since it's 25 years before sims 1 and wanted a different name. once again very sorry. also next time you add new info cite your sources please. that's the only reason why i acted that way. for the final time i apologize. also.... i wonder why simbot is cheaper than the teleportation pad?

My fault. I forgot to include the ref tags the first time I made the change. Sorry guys. (Kiwi tea 01:28, May 13, 2010 (UTC))

Sims 3 game engine

I see you removed the fact from the Renderware on Late Night. I've researched the subject a bit and I can't find a single mention that The Sims 3 is using this engine, see Wikipedia:RenderWare. Duskey(talk) 12:07, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

It's fact that The Sims game are using renderware. EA bought renderware a few years ago and they still use it in the Sims games.

Do you have a link to this fact? Duskey(talk) 12:36, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

i went ahead and removed renderware as the engine but i can't find anything that says what the actual engine is. and in the two current expansion and loft stuff all three list renderware as the game engine. should be removed on those too.

i looked around and found an early interview about the base game. EA uses an inhouse engine created in-house for the sims 3. [1]

I think i heard this on G4 around the release of the base game too. this is the same thing R* did. Bafendo 12:58, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

That link gave me a fake virus pop-up. Duskey(talk) 13:35, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

strange. AVG showed it as a safe site. but it does make sence. Rockstar created a game engine in-house for their games so EA doing the same thing is smart. Bafendo 13:49, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

I can agree to calling it 'The Sims 3 Engine', but I don't think it has a name per say. Maybe they use one internally but we have no idea what that is. Duskey(talk) 14:14, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

oh cool. well i'll let you put that in unless it's ok if i do. needs to be done on world adventures, loft stuff and ambitions pages too. also, i've cited the sims 2 apartment life in that sentence that list the games that have elements in Late Night. Bafendo 14:21, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Late Night box placeholder

Good work on restoring the placeholder. In the future however you can just revert to the old version on the file page instead of uploading a new picture. Duskey(talk) 20:58, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

I reuploaded the box art you found at the original file location (File:SimsLateNightArt-PC-Pack-Art.jpg) instead of as a new file. Other pages link to the image as well. I saw you chose the category: 'Images of Late Night Sims' for it while it should've been 'Box Art' a little further down the list. Duskey(talk) 09:22, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your images

We appreciate the images you've contributed to the wiki, however it seems you forgot to add some things to them. The images in question are:

Licensing: All images must have their licensing information added. If the image is from The Sims series of games or contains the PlumbBob, it is copyrighted to EA. Add Copyright by EA.
If you've made the image yourself, you need to decide on the license. The Sims Wiki recommends a Creative Commons license. Unless stated otherwise the image will be assumed to be under the CC-BY-SA license.
See Category:Copyright tags for a list of available copyright options.

Categories: All images must be put in a category. You can browse image categories to find the correct one. In most cases, your image should only be included into one category and only be put in Category:Images if there is no other place to put it.
See Help:Category for more information.

It would also be sweet if you added the source for the image when it's taken from other sites.

If you have any further questions about this message or this wiki, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Duskey(talk) 13:17, August 14, 2010 (UTC) thanks Duskey.Bafendo 17:53, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Remember categories

Hey Bafendo, remember to add a category to the images you upload. Many of them belong in Category:Late Night. Duskey(talk) 21:42, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

where did you find the box art? Bafendo 09:42, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Because I'm from Lithuania, I found it in our website www.thesims.lt

Edit wars

I'd like to thank you for undoing the unconstructive edits on The Sims 3: Late Night, but in order to avoid Edit Wars you should notify an administrator if another user persists and possibly discuss the changes with the user. A long history page of edits back and forth helps no one. Undo the first time, discuss and/or report to an admin the second time. In this particular case, I'm already on it :) Duskey(talk) 20:22, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Oh ok, thanks Duskey.Bafendo 20:28, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Deleting images

When you remove images from an article, remember to mark them for deletion if they're not being used then by adding <reason>. In the case of the renders on the Late Night page, they're duplicates which means they're Candidates for speedy deletion, marked by <Duplicate file>. Duskey(talk) 04:44, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Trampoline image

Why did you remove the image gallery on the trampoline page? Duskey(talk) 12:45, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

you mean (Sims on a Trampoline)? it's one pic. and it doesn't show a sim on a trampoline just a sim looking up and looking excited. that pic is all i deleted. Bafendo 19:14, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, while the trampoline isn't visible the Sim is going upwards. I don't have any more pictures of Sims on trampolines, but I thought it'd be nice to have some. Duskey(talk) 19:17, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
I'm sorry Duskey. Please don't be mad. I'll take a few pics later of one and two sims on a trampoline and one when they fall off and add them to yours. once again i am sorry. please don't ban me for my screw up. i keep messed, i won't edit this wiki anymore Bafendo 19:23, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
There's no need for that, no harm done. Wikis are made so you can't actually delete anything :D I'm certainly not going to ban you since you've done nothing wrong. In the future though, if you dislike or disagree with a particular edit of an article you can always start a discussion on the talk page of the article and invite whoever made the edit. I hope you do contribute again. Duskey(talk) 20:06, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Fact template

Please do not remove fact if you do not add a reference in its place. Unsourced statements on titles under development must be supplied with a reference or at the very least the 'fact' template. Should you have any questions about this message, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Any other questions about this wiki should be posted at our Help desk. Duskey(talk) 13:22, August 31, 2010 (UTC).

Tables and references

Thanks for the music contributions to the Late Night page. I assume you're using the Rich text editor. Do you check off any "top align" buttons when you do so? When I edit your table contributions on that page in code view, there's a lot of unneccesary valign="top" code.

Also, you should have a look at Help:Cite to see how to use the <ref> tags instead of inserting the URL reference directly.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Duskey(talk) 14:25, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Late Night game icons

Where have you found the LN game icons? They seem quite different in color. --Duskeytalk 10:26, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

one place is "http://superthesims.socjum.pl/blog/pokaz_wpis/87". other is EdenStyle and SimsCri. both have posted pics they both took of gameplay and from a video by EdenStyle. In build and buy mode the second icon (the one i added to the late night page) is the same one as the one on the Late Night build and buy mode stuff pics. Bafendo 13:20, September 13, 2010 (UTC)
