==Notice about the Warning template== |
Hello fellow administrator. I wanted to make you aware of an upcoming changeover regarding the Warning template. You can see the discussion of this change here. |
Starting now, a new warning template will be available for use. This template is currently available at NewWarning. However, on April 2, the new warning template will be moved to Warning and the old warning template will be retired. Please use this transition period to test out the new template before the full changeover. In the period leading up to the changeover, please report any bugs or issues, and offer any suggestions, in the new template discussion |
The new template does away with the <reason> parameter of the old template. You can now make your warning more specific by filling in the <type> parameter. Type will automatically load in text depending on the type and the level you select. Additionally, certain types have multiple 'levels', ranging from 1 to 3, with 1 being the least severe, and 3 being the most severe phrasing of the warning message itself. The types are: |
*Vandalism (entered as 'vandal#') warns against making non-constructive edits. The 'vandal1' message is the template's default message if no type is entered. |
*Blanking pages or sections (entered as 'blank#') warns against removing content from entire pages or sections of pages. |
*Removing content (entered as 'remove#') warns against removing useful and accurate content from pages. |
*Violating file policy (entered as 'file#') warns users that upload files or images in violation of the Image and File policy. |
*Disruptive behavior (entered as 'disrupt') warns users that attack other users, engage in edit warring, etc. |
*Sockpuppetry (entered as 'sock') warns users that are suspected of having control over multiple unauthorized accounts. |
*Additionally, there is a custom option available if none of the pre-existing types suit your needs. If you choose to use a custom message, the <type> parameter should be set to 'custom' and the optional <custom> parameter will hold your message. If <type> says anything other than 'custom' and the <custom> parameter is filled in, the custom message will not display. |
So, to sum it up, the parameters are:<br/> |
:<type>: You should fill this parameter in, unless you're alright with displaying the default, non-specific warning text.<br/> |
:<custom>: Fill this in only if you've filled in 'custom' under the <type> parameter; otherwise, leave this blank.<br/> |
:<sig>: This parameter is mandatory - include your signature here.<br/> |
:<other>: If you want to include additional information to the recipient, you can fill in this parameter. The text you enter will appear below your signature but above the 'boilerplate' message at the bottom of the notification. |
One last thing... remember to substitute the template, just as you do when you use Warning. This is to ensure that any future changes to the template don't alter how it appears on user talk pages. |
If you've got any questions about this new warning or its implementations, feel free to drop me a message. -- <font color="navy">LostInRiverview</font> <font color="green">talk</font> ~ <font color="green">blog</font> 04:11, March 19, 2013 (UTC) |

Rollback RightsThank you so much for the rollback privellages. I will use them wisely and still continue helping the wiki. 🌹Deathbee1000 11:09, December 8, 2012 (UTC) A user...You know what's more dreary than calming down an angry user? I don't know about you, but to me, finding out that the recently-angry user is underage. Now I feel guilty about it... How long should he be given a block? fanon on TSM wikiHey, I got your TSM wiki message and I do have a problem. I can't find the fanon portal, so I can't make a fanon story. Is there another way to start a new fanon page, or get to the portal?Hurshbr (talk) 22:33, December 6, 2012 (UTC)Hurshbr
rumorsThis is in regards to the rumors page, particularly the posts about the Sims 4. I, as a reader, fail to see the relevance that April Fools’ Day pranks and A SINGLE player’s speculation hold ANY significance as to when the Sims 4 will be launched. And seeing as EA has Sims 3 games slated for 2013, it renders the player’s conjecture moot. Please consider revising the article to better reflect actual new and rumors rather than Fan created filler. Thank You. 98.228.22.209 (talk) 06:13, December 7, 2012 (UTC)A reader.

He is a warlock when Supernatural is installed.
Your input is vital on a discussion!Hello there. This message is to request that you give input on this very important thread regarding notability and what constitutes as being notable on The Sims Wiki. You have received this message as you are statistically one of the most active users on The Sims Wiki and your thoughts on this subject would be much appreciated. Thanks! Long time no talk (I've been busy making fanfictions :p) So yeah... I browsed a page about magical gnomes and I want to confirm an antic of my sim's gnome pointing at ingots on a dining table (I'll try to upload a picture of it tomorrow) LolitaG (talk) 11:38, December 26, 2012 (UTC) ImagesOk, let's get something straight here! You cannot just delete my pics, ok? Why would you even wanna do that! Come on, soo not cool! That was just rude! I uploaded those for a freaking reason! Sheesh! How would you like it If I did that to you! Please just leave me a message or something explaning why you did that! Ok, I need to know your reasoning for that! :( Um, ok are you like an adminastrator or something? Is that why you deleted my pics? I mean, even if you are, I still don't understand why you deleted them. I'm just confused, like were they innapropriate or something because I was very careful of that! So, I don't see how they could be. Help me out here! Sometimes I can just be a stupid fourteen year old girl! I just tend to get really defensive! *sigh* I still need an explanation! Please!
I am sooo deeply sorry for my retarded childish behavior yesterday! I was just extremely angry and as I said in my second message yesterday, sometimes I just tend to get really defensive! Alot! I've only been on The Sims Wiki for like a year. Oh, and is there any way I can delete my embarrasingly angry forum post? Cause there's no way I'm leaving it up! thanksThank you !!!
