A bookstore is a rabbit hole in The Sims 3.

It is the place where Sims buy and sell books and they can get a part-time job as a Bookstore Clerk.

This is one of the properties Sims can partner with and own in The Sims 3.

All the general books and skill books are available also in the local library, although Sims cannot take library books home as they do not own them.

The Sims 3 World Adventures

In The Sims 3: World Adventures a new non-rabbit hole bookstore was introduced on market lots in certain sub-neighborhoods. In World Adventures, books can be bought at the market bookstore. There are no lots assigned as libraries in World Adventures' foreign countries, but plenty of bookshelves. To buy these books Sims must talk to the Sim at the book register in the respective market.
