Cara Livingston is one of the pre-made downtownies in The Sims 2: Nightlife. She can be made playable by befriending and asking her to move in, or by marrying her. Cara is employed in the Slacker career at level 10, and she is mainly interested in Environment, Weather, Sports, and Work.

Cara is the Diva, one of the few special downtownies. As the Diva, she has no nice points, but she has 10 outgoing points. She has autonomous reactions, such as primping, that other Sims either do not display or rarely display. Sometimes, she may invite playable Sims on outings with her and her contacts, which can be beneficial to the playable Sim's career.

Cara's name is randomized when Downtown is generated. The name "Cara Livingston" is only referenced in the game files. Ironically, she has an extremely low interest in money, even though she's one of the richest Sims in the game and her aspiration is Fortune. She has a slight preference for men, unlike most townies who are neutral towards both genders.

For all outfits, besides everyday, Cara has the same hairstyle as Circe Beaker. Sometimes when played, she has the option to "wolf whistle" at other Sims, even if The Sims 2: University isn't installed. This interaction is often done autonomously by evil mascots.
