Almaak Markab is a pre-made alien sim in Aileen Landing. He was the husband of the late Mirzam Markab. He is the father of Mira Xoxxaw, Betelgeuse Lyra, Ara Markab, Girtab Markab and Nihal Markab.

At the start of the neighborhood, he is furious with Mira Xoxxaw and Rigel Xoxxaw (as suggested by the storyline), as well as with the burglar Dagon Altair who just attempted to rob them when the family is first loaded. He was best friends with Saturn Lyra before he died. This might be why he wanted his children to get married to Saturn's children and disapproved of Mira's relationship with Rigel. He may have wanted Mira to get married to either Titan Lyra or Iapetus Lyra. Since both of his other children Betelgeuse Lyra and Ara Markab got married to Tethys Lyra and Rhea Markab respectively.

Ironically, he accuses Rigel of being unfaithful to her daughter Mira and thinks he is no good for her, but doesn't realize that his own son Ara isn't being faithful to Rhea either, unlike Rigel who has never cheated on Mira.

According to SimPE, he has 15 remaining days before he dies of old age. If his SimDNA is viewed, it can be seen that he had black hair before it turned grey.

He's named after one of the stars γ¹ Andromedae, Almach (also spelt as Almaach, Almaack, Almak, Almaak, or Alamak) in the quadruple star system of γ Andromedae in the constellation of Andromeda.
