Strangely, Peter has no father in his family tree, which simply shows Dora as his mother. This has led some players to believe that he was adopted or born out-of-wedlock. Dora has the lifetime want to "Have 6 Grandchildren". When the game starts, she already has three - David, Sharla and Tommy - and she will not die of old age before Samantha's twins are born. However, since there is a bug in game, Peter will not be the actual father, and Dora will not be the grandmother of the twins. This will be fixed if the game is patched.
Unfortunately for Dora, the birth of the twins brings the household up to its maximum capacity of eight Sims, and without the use of cheats or the Elixir of Life, or sending David to University, Dora will die of old age before David is old enough to move out and free up space in the household for a sixth child. When the family is first moved into a lot, she will be on her 6th day as an elder, and will have 6 days left before she dies of old age. According to Dora's SimDNA in SimPE, her hair was brown before it turned grey.
Dora's genetics and facial structure seem to be a result of the genetic combination of Peter and Samantha, except that Dora has no genetics for brown eyes. Her character data can be found in The Sims Castaway Stories using SimPE. Unless the Elixir of Life is used, or the player decides to age Sharla up a day early, Dora will die on the day Sharla becomes a teenager. But if Peter cheats on Samantha and gets another female sim pregnant with 3 kids that will complete Dora's want. Or if you fix the game and Peter is the father of the twins then Peter can cheat on Samantha and have 1 child with the female sim than that can also complete Dora's want.
