It is implied in his biography that he dreams of visiting Twikkii Island, possibly setting Isla Paradiso's timeline before the events of The Sims 2.

Edward has 5 points in Charisma, 4 in Fishing, 3 in Scuba Diving, and two in Cooking. While he has black hair in The Sims 2, he has brown hair with sideburns in The Sims 3.

If Sims raise their relationship with him, they can ask him to teach them how to sing a sea chantey. This will add the vacation memento "Learned a Sea Chantey" after they have sung it twice. However, the only interactions for him is to tell jokes and admire him, though he probably won't accept the admire interaction right away.
