Angelos Kostopoulos
Biography
'The leader of the Kostopouloi, Angelos is the 3rd generation of the Kostopouloi leading the Kostopoulos Shipbuilding Firm that was established by his grandfather Herakles. Despite what it seems, Angelos has not failed the firm, thanks to his luck, the stern (yet luxurious on the outside) living style encouraged by his sister Athanasia, and to a lesser degree some technical advices from his daughter Kyriake. Having moved to Hekatonschoinos to expand upon his shipbuilding empire, he has the goal of outdoing his Turkish rival, Bayram Demirci. Well, that would be his wife goal to be more exact, but then why say no?'

Angelos Kostopoulos (Gk. Άγγελος Κωστόπουλος), born September 9, 1981 on Thessalonike, is the patriarch of the Kostopouloi family as well as the leader of the Kostopoulos Shipbuilding Firm. Angelos is a proud member of the said family, being the 3rd generation of the leader of the said firm. Angelos has taken advantage of the insular nature of Hekatonschoinos and is aimed at making the Kostopouloi family name famous with a successful venture within the Papal State. Like the Tycoon family, Angelos is interested in cooperation with the Ecclesiarchal giant: in fact, so great is the Ecclesiarchal firm that Angelos's rank seems low even with his role as the leader of the said shipbuilding firm.

Angelos is also a rival of the leader of the competing Turkish shipbuilder, namely Bayram Demirci of the Demirci Company. Both having comparable wealth, Angelos wishes to outdo his rival. Despite what this may suggest, Angelos is not in a hostile personal relationship with Bayram, particularly strange given the nasty reality that is the Greek-Turkish relationship. To the contrary, Angelos and Bayram are personally cordial to each other as a result of forced cooperation in a few cases as well as their former status as next-door neighbors in Kypros. However, the same cannot be said of Athanasia and Ayla, particularly as Athanasia is a supporter of a prim and noble demeanor, while Ayla is much more down to earth. Angelos has 2 points in Charisma, 2 points in Cooking, 4 points in Writing, and 4 points in Logic. He also possesses a laptop in his inventory just like his sister Athanasia.

Angelos is an upcoming sim in the upcoming update to Hekatonschoinos.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The name Angelos literally means messenger, and the term Angelos is where we get the word "angel". In fact, all the Kostopouloi have names with some religious connotations: Kyriake meaning Sunday (literally "of the Lord), Athanasia meaning immortal, and Theophylaktos meaning guarded by god.
  • Angelos Kostopoulos and Bayram Demirci's rivalry is very similar to that of the Altos and the Landgraabs in Sunset Valley, as well as the rivalry between that of the Best family and the Gooders Family, as the Kostopouloi are the prim and proper family (Well, mostly Athanasia) while the Demirci family is much more down to earth.
  • His position as a friendly rival with Bayram partially attributed to their proximity in Kypros is particularly ironic, given that Kypros is one of the sore points in the Greek-Turkish relationship. However, it is given that they were to collaborate on Kypros for whatever reasons, which was the main point that turned the relationship between Bayram and Angelos into a friendly rivalry.
  • Angelos's father was like the typical Greek, and took the rivalry with Bayram seriously.
